Founders Junior Council Announces Partnership with Lambert, Edwards & Associates

Founders Junior Council (FJC), a group of young professionals and one of the Detroit Institute of Arts’ (DIA) largest volunteer patron groups, has partnered with Detroit-based public relations firm, Lambert, Edwards & Associates (LE&A), to promote upcoming events and to generate interest and engagement with FJC and DIA.

LE&A will be working with FJC to promote the various opportunities the organization offers to the community centering on arts, culture and the DIA and its membership benefits, including:

–          Exclusive, after-hour opportunities to visit popular DIA art exhibitions with a diverse group of Detroit-area peers

–          Access to multiple behind-the-scenes art events with DIA curators and experts

–          Early ticket-buying opportunities to two of Detroit’s most prominent social events, FJC’s Fash Bash and Cirque

“Detroit is quickly becoming a viable competitor with other cities around the country for ‘creative class’ concentration,” said David Gasper, President of FJC. “In recognizing LE&A’s commitment to and knowledge of the Detroit marketplace, our partnership will help us better connect with and educate Detroiters who may not fully be aware of all the unique opportunities available through the DIA and FJC.”

Since its inception more than 50 years ago, FJC has given nearly $4 million to the DIA. Most recently, FJC pledged $1 million to the DIA’s operating endowment, which is the largest donation FJC has ever made to the museum and the largest single commitment from an auxiliary in the museum’s recorded history.  The Egyptian gallery was recently renamed the “Founders Junior Council Gallery” in honor of this generous gift.

LE&A will kick off the strategic partnership with the promotion of FJC’s annual masquerade, “Cirque.” On March 25, FJC Cirque 2017 will transport Detroiters to a mythical night of elegance and entertainment. Additionally, FJC is working with LE&A to help find talented students in the Detroit area interested in volunteering with the organization. The FJC student volunteer will be responsible for graphic design, and utilizing both digital and social media platforms to help promote and grow the organization.

“The DIA has historically been and continues to stand at the heart of what art and culture means in Detroit and throughout the region,” said Jeff Lambert, founder and CEO of Lambert, Edwards & Associates. “It’s vibrancy and growth are undeniably tied to the energy and attractiveness of the city in which it dwells. As a firm rooted in the heart of downtown, we are excited to collaborate with the FJC, an organization that continually strives to give, connect and inspire the community through the arts and cultures.”
