It’s like stepping into a vintage Christmas card External Link. The smell of roasting chestnuts hangs in the air as you make your way along candle-lit paths from one festive historic home to the next. There’s ice skating, too, and strolling carolers, costumed presenters and carriage and Model T rides. Santa and a few of his reindeer are always nearby as the evening closes with fireworks and sing-along caroling. This is how the holidays are supposed to be.
