move and what they eat. Demonstrations includes earthworm dissections.

Learn about different types of wells found underground from
oil wells, water wells and artisan wells.

Explore the three types of rocks and how they form.

Fascinating Fossils!
Join us as we explore how fossils occur and make one of your own.

Aug. 10 & 11
Earthquakes and Volcanoes!
Shake, rattle and roll through this hands-on exploration
of earthquakes and volcanoes.

Aug. 17 & 18
Dirty Bugs?
Learn about the different types of bugs that live underground
from Trapdoor spiders, to beetles and everything in-between.

Aug. 24 & 25
Gem-tastic!
Discover how diamonds, rubies and emeralds are
formed. Go home with some bling in our special make-n-take activity.

Aug. 31 & Sept. 1
Watch your Mines!
Learn about the different types of mines
from salt, gold and silver. Did you know Detroit has a mine?
Can you guess what kind?
