New Roller Coaster Debuts Monday In Macomb County

It may not be the tallest or the fastest — but, for metro Detroiters, it’s quite a bit closer to home.

A first in Macomb County, the Loop roller coaster debuted Monday afternoon at C.J. Barrymore’s on Hall Road near Groesbeck in Clinton Township.

Billed as “short, fast and fun,” the thrill ride tops out at a mere 36 feet in height, but features two drops and a 360-degree loop “that scares you like the big coasters.”

It’s situated between the driving range and mini golf course at the park, which also features a bowling alley, arcade, bumper cars, bumper boats, a rock climbing wall, go karts and batting cages.
