USS DETROIT: The Birth of a Ship in a City Reborn

The officers of the Metropolitan Detroit Council of the Navy League of the United States and the Bailliage du Michigan de la Confrérie de la Chaîne des Rôtisseurs cordially invite you to join us at St. Clair College Centre for the Arts – 201 Riverside Drive West, Windsor, Ontario – to savor an International Super Chef Reception and Dinner honoring the commissioning of the USS Detroit (LCS 7) and in celebration of the unique relationship shared by Canada and the United States. The dinner will feature foods from Ontario and Michigan and will be prepared by super chefs from Ontario and Michigan as well as cooks and culinary specialists from the Canadian Navy and United States Navy.

RECEPTION: 1700 (5:00 p.m.)

DINNER: 1900 (7:00 p.m.)

COST: CAN $185.00 plus 13% HST/tax per person US $158/per person, including HST (approx., as it varies daily) – Includes valet parking

DRESS: Civilian – Black Tie *** Navy – Mess Dress Blue The celebration will begin with a reception, followed by a 4-course dinner prepared by Canadian, American, and Navy chefs: Howard Barnes Executive Chef, Prime 29, West Bloomfield, MI, USA Carmen Incitti Executive Chef, St. Clair College, Windsor, ON, Canada Connor Walling Head Chef, Café Via, Birmingham, MI. USA The evening will feature formal military welcoming ceremonies and also include an induction ceremony for new members of La Chaîne. Appropriate wines from nearby Canadian Wineries will be selected to complement each course.
