The Jewish Community Center of Metropolitan Detroit’s Henry & Delia Meyers Library and Media Center will host a book art workshop and tour of the Janice Charach Gallery on Thursday, August 24.
The event begins at 1 p.m. with a tour of “Fabric of Survival,” focusing on tapestries created by Holocaust survivor Esther Nisenthal Krinitz, at the gallery. At 1:30 p.m., the event continues with “Book Art That Tells a Story,” taught by Kerry Yaklin, where guests will use text and art to create a journal unique to them.
