The 60th Annual Cinco de Mayo Parade in Detroit will take place on Sunday, May 4, 2025, in Southwest Detroit. Organized by the Mexican Patriotic Committee of Metro Detroit, this vibrant celebration honors the Mexican victory at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862, and showcases the rich cultural heritage of the Latino community in the area. Parade Details

  • Start Time: 12:00 PM (noon)
  • Route: The 2.4-mile parade will commence at Patton Park (Woodmere St. & Vernor Hwy.) and conclude at Clark Park (Scotten St. & Vernor Hwy.).
  • Theme: “Past, Present & Future” (Pasado, Presente y Futuro)
  • Past: Honoring the founders of the Cinco de Mayo Parade
  • Present: Recognizing the current Mexican Patriotic Committee

Grand Marshals

This year’s parade will feature three distinguished female Grand Marshals: (Cinco de Mayo Parade – Mexican Patriotic Committee)

  • María Guadiana: Daughter of José Guadiana de Campos, founder of the Mexican Patriotic Committee and its first president.
  • Alma Cruz: Current president of the committee, elected two parades ago.

Fiesta Detroit
