Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat Set To Perform

Southgate Community Players proudly presents Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Based on the biblical story of Joseph and his coat of many colors, this musical blockbuster by Andrew Lloyd Webber & Tim Rice is a vibrant, dance-in-your-seat show that will leave you wanting more and is fun for all ages.

Performances will take place at the Davidson Middle School Auditorium, located at 15800 Trenton Road in Southgate. Opening night is Friday, August 26, 2011 at 7 p.m. Two shows will be offered on Saturday, August 27, 2011. The first show will be a matinee at 1:00 p.m. followed by the closing performance at 7 p.m.

Ticket prices for all shows are $10.00 and may be purchased in advance by calling 734.282.4727, visiting scponstage.com, or at the door on the day of the performance.

About Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat:
Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is an Andrew Lloyd Webber musical with lyrics by Tim Rice. The story is based on the “coat of many colors” story of Joseph from the Hebrew Bible’s Book of Genesis. This was the first Lloyd Webber and Rice opera to be performed publicly. The show has very little spoken dialogue; it is almost completely sung-through. Its family-friendly storyline, and has universal themes and catchy music.
