Detroit Nike store marks milestone for downtown retail strip resurgence

The 22,000-square-foot store at 1261 Woodward Ave. is a feather in the cap for Nike as much as it is for Bedrock Detroit, the real estate arm of Quicken Loans Founder Dan Gilbert.

The storefront was one of the biggest retail spaces in Bedrock’s arsenal, Dan Mullen, executive vice president of Bedrock Detroit, said.
