Free Summer Camp for children in families with addictions

CARE CAMP is offered July 15-19 and July 22-26 at Fountain Elementary School, 1650 Wellington Ave, Roseville, MI. Daily breakfast and lunch is provided for the children preschool through 12th grade. Register on-line or call 586-541-CARE.

If your family, or other loved ones with children, has problems with addictions, this FREE special day-camp experience is available for the children pre-school through 12th grade.

Has your child lost a close family member to an opioid or heroin overdose? Does your child worry about a loved one’s struggles with alcohol, opioids or other drugs? Would your child benefit from skills to address worries related to a loved one’s substance abuse? Families impacted by loved ones addictions will learn coping skills and build life skills. There is a parent/caregiver group available.

CARE of Southeast Michigan was founded in 1977. Each year, CARE helps individuals and families struggling with a substance use or behavioral health issue.

In 2008, CARE received funding from the United Way of Southeastern Michigan for the first time and began providing screening and case management services for children with a Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder.

In 2012, CARE began to provide Peer Recovery Coaching services to individuals receiving substance abuse treatment.
