The Harold and Carolyn Robison Foundation Supports Tiny Homes (Again)

Cass Community Social Services was the recipient of a generous grant of $50,000 from the Troy, Michigan-based Harold and Carolyn Robison Foundation for the agency’s Tiny Homes initiative. This is the second major gift from the Foundation for that project! The Tiny Homes program is sustained by private gifts such as the ones from the Robison Foundation. This funding is used to defray the costs of a long list of needs: from appliances and furniture to construction items that include siding, pouring concrete and house framing packages, as well as plumbing and electrical supplies and labor.
Stacy Conwell-Leigh, Tiny Homes Project Manager, shared, “Cass Community is grateful to the Harold and Carolyn Robison Foundation for its support. Because of such donations, residents earning $8,000 to $10,000 per year-and paying only $1 per square foot each month-can actually own their home and achieve a level of economic stability and mobility that was previously out of their reach.”
