Fundraiser to benefit Teen Space of Baldwin Public Library

Join us for Books & Bites at Baldwin on Thursday, October 18 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.  Be part of this evening at $50 per person by calling 248-554-4683 to make your reservation.  Opportunities for donors and sponsorship are also available.  See www.baldwinlib.org/booksbites for event details.

Attendees will have their choice of wine and beer provided by Big Rock Chophouse and Griffin Claw Brewing Company.  A strolling dinner is being prepared by Barrio Tacos & Tequila, Chen Chow Brasserie, Elie’s Mediterranean Grill/Bar, Frank Street Bakery, Maggiano’s Little Italy and Papa Joe’s Gourmet Market & Catering.  Live music will be performed by Sean Blackman.  Complimentary valet parking is provided by In House Valet.

“We’re thrilled to be offering this event for its second year since there was such an overwhelmingly positive response from last year,” said Janelle Boyce, Birmingham resident and event coordinator.

You won’t want to miss out on this year’s fabulous chance-style auction which promises to be even better than last year’s auction!  Birmingham mayor Mark Nickita will be this year’s auctioneer.

Proceeds from the event will benefit an upgrade of the Library’s Teen Space.  The project will include updated carpet, paint, additional seating and dedicated computers for teens.

“I look forward to making our Teen Space more of a destination for teens.  It is important that we provide them with a space they can call their own,” said Doug Koschik, Library Director.

The Baldwin Public Library can be reached at 248-647-1700 or www.baldwinlib.org.  The Library is located at 300 West Merrill Street in downtown Birmingham.
