Nature Center Hosts “Thanksgiving for Nature” Event on Friday, Nov. 29

Get outside and enjoy nature on the day after Thanksgiving! The Farmington
Hills Nature Center is hosting the annual “Thanksgiving for Nature” event on
Friday, November 29 from 2 to 4 p.m.
The event will feature a self-guided scavenger hunt through the trails of
Heritage Park. Participants will receive a list of clues and directions to help
them on their quest to find reasons to be thankful for nature’s gifts. Those
who complete the scavenger hunt will be eligible for a Thanksgiving prize.
Kids can make unique fall crafts to take home and also enjoy roasting
marshmallows at the campfire. Families can play fun nature games and
participate in a variety of Thanksgiving-inspired activities.
Thanksgiving for Nature is open to all ages. The fee is $3 per person for both
adults and children; kids age two and under are free. Pre-registration is
strongly encouraged online at or at the Costick
Center. To register a group of eight or more, call the Nature Center.

The Nature Center is located within Heritage Park at 24915 Farmington Road,
between 10 and 11 Mile Roads. For more information, contact Nature Center
